Once you have gathered your tools for tagging, you are ready to evaluate your inventory.

Your Kids Closet accepts new and gently-used infant and children’s clothing and shoes, equipment, toys, books, videos, furniture, nursery décor, and maternity wear.  Due to space limitations, we currently are accepting seasonally appropriate items only.

Your Kids Closet does not accept:

·       Worn, stained, ripped or out-dated clothing or shoes;

·       Non-working toys or equipment;

·       Recalled toys, equipment, or clothing;

·       Items not conforming to the CPSIA standards.

Car seats will no longer be accepted at Your Kids Closet.  Your Kids Closet will accept infant car seats that are being sold as part of a complete travel system as long as they are less than 5 years old and have never been in an accident.  Car seats must have the manufacturers sticker still attached.  Consignors must sign a waiver verifying that they are the original owners and that their car seat is not on a recall list

Due to new safety standards enacted June 28, 2011, Your Kids Closet will not be able to accept any cribs manufactured before June 28, 2011 for consignment.

Inventory Restrictions

·       Consignors are limited to 250 items per sale event

·       Due to limited space, and to ensure quality, shoes are limited to five (5) pair per consignor.  Specialty sport or dance shoes are excluded and do not count towards the limit.

·       Stuffed animals are limited to five (5) clean, new or like new toys.

Make sure that your clothing and shoes are clean and wrinkle-free.  Toys requiring batteries must have working batteries.   Strollers, high chairs, and pack-n-plays will be displayed set-up so attach tags and accessories accordingly.

Now that you have gathered your inventory, you are ready to enter and print your tags in our bar-coding system.

Login to the software on the Item Entry and Tag Printing link in the Consignor Toolbox located on the Consignor page of our website.  Entering your inventory is as simple as fill-in-the-blank.  You will be asked to identify the category your item falls under, size if applicable, asking price, quantity, and whether or not you would like to discount your item to 50% off during the half-price sale and whether or not you would like to donate unsold items after the sale.

You may print your tags as you go or close out of your session and print tags at a later time.  The software offers multiple ways to select which tags you wish to print.

Tags print six to a page  Clothing must be hung on hangers with the hook open to your left, so that it looks like a question mark.  Tags should be attached to the garments right shoulder or waistband as you are looking at it.  Tags may also be attached in the neckline tags or through a buttonhole if desired.  Do not attach tags to the left side of the garment or directly to the hanger.

All clothing, with the exception of packaged onesies and socks, must be on hangers.
